Dig Dig Boom

Dig Dig Boom is a turn-based mining puzzle roguelike game set in a highly dynamic destructible world. You delve into a rich underground as The Dynaminer, a daring dwarf who solves most problems using dynamite. Demo is planned for early 2024.

Unique Puzzle Mining Gameplay

Dig Dig Boom blends real-time and turn-based gameplay, where time only moves when you do. For each step you take, the world ticks forwards in time. As such, you can play the game at any pace, whether you want a tranquil relaxing playthrough or want to challenge yourself with a hectic speedrun. The miner moves along a grid, in synch with all the tiles. As you gradually gain a better understanding of the tiles and their rules, you'll gain a mental library of techniques and tricks to fluidly combine. Do you got what it takes to be a dynaminer?

Systemic Roguelike

The world of Dig Dig Boom is highly dynamic. Dig a tunnel, plant some dynamite, blow up a stone wall, detach a boulder, push it to climb, hoist it with a rope, and so on. The many blocks make up an intertwined puzzle system of gold and explosives. The finished game will feature both handcrafted puzzles as well as procedurally generated caves. The handcrafted ones work primarily as an introduction to new mining techniques which you can then apply freely to the unique caves of the real mining run, taking form as a unique mix of puzzle and roguelike.

Release Date and Demo

Dig Dig Boom demo is planned for early 2024. Dig Dig Boom release date for PC planned to late 2024. If PC release and all goes smoothly, then it's highly likely that Dig Dig Boom will be ported to other platforms in late 2024 or 2025, such as Nintendo Switch.
